TIM GREENE

LEAD

Tim Greene is the lead singer and one of the founding members of The Greenes. He began his musical career at the age of 16 with The Greenes (then known as The Singing Greenes) and would continue to minister with them for the next two decades. In 1991, Tim answered the call to preach. He served as the pastor of Westview Baptist Church in Boone, NC for many years while still traveling full-time with The Greenes. In 2000, Tim had to slow down from the road due to black mold infection. This began a nine year sickness where he fought for his life. After losing almost all earthly possessions, God healed Tim in 2009. After his brother Tony passed away in 2010, the Lord impressed Tim to keep The Greenes ministry alive. Along with singing, Tim is an award winning songwriter, producer, and author. He has written over 725 songs, many of which have made it into the top charts, such as “When I Knelt the Blood Fell,” “Never Crucify Him Again,” “In the Twinkling of an Eye,” "Christ Is Born," and many others. He has been voted “Songwriter of the Year” by the Singing News Fan Awards and The Voice magazine. He has also produced more than 160 albums in his studio, The Loft, and has played bass guitar on over 320 albums. He has won a Grammy and a Dove Award for his studio work. Tim is the author of two books: His Healing Touch (2004) and His Healing Love (2018). Tim and his wife, Amy, reside in Shallotte, NC. They have two daughters, Brittany and Brooklyn.
